Default Service engine soon light

I have an 01 GT Vert with 47,000 on her. Been driving real well until the other night I got on the highway and all of a sudden the light popped on. Its still running well no noises or hesitations (I had to replace 2 ignition coils last year). I'm thinking maybe the o2 sensor. Any ideas or input. No mods yet just K&N 2 yrs ago.Mods coming soon.

when that light comes on all we can really do is hook up the scan tool to the computer, and read the codes, and find out what they're for. sometimes they come on for emissions crap like o2 sensors, or some other stupid sensor.

yeah check the code. You can stop by autozone and borrow their scanner for free. Could be a million different things for todays obd2 cars.

Hey thanks. I went to Advanced and all it was was the gas cap. He cleared it and all's good.
