hi guys mi name is victor and im brand new to this site. and well i just had a couple of questions about my mustang. i have 1999 mustang V6 and i want to modify it. i already have a cold air intake, headers, and dual exhaust. I want to know what short shifter is the best for my mustang. i dont mind the cost just as long as i have quality. and what other modifications do you recommend. thanks.

 

Any short shifter is better than stock. I have steeda tri ax and it worked out for me. And the next best mod would be gears. 410's

 

oh ok then well thanks for the tip. and what company is the best to buy the gears off from? and i have heard that 3.73 gears are better than the 4.10 gears so which one is better?

 

for a v6 id say go with 3.73 gears unless all your driving is city then go with the 4.10s but youll be shifting alot. but gears are what id do next to your car for sure. it wakes V6 stangs up alot. after that get a 150 wet shot and just spray everywhere you go! gear brands...try ford...they make good gears.

so the 3.73 gears are better for sure right? and yeah i use my car daily to go to the university and then to work so i drive it a lot. and what do you mean that i will be shifting a lot with the 4.10's. and what do you think of the gears made by Motive Performance parts. and will the T-lock differential work good with those 3.73 gears. im working on my car so my car has ***** you know so i can spank good those dumb hondas. also i had bought this car from a guy and it came with 17 inch chrome rims, they look good but they look very heavy. i was looking into buying some saleen rims will that be good? or what do you recommend. thanks for the help and sorry for being new to all of this.
