Default Window off track

I know that my passenger window is off the track and in at least one place its bent, but I'm thinking this might be a job for the ford dealership to handle.. Can anyone give me advice as to what to do?

As you probably already know, the dealership will charge an arm and 2 legs for that.
Try calling an auto glass place. They will usually do it for under $100.

There's an easier way, take off your door panel, remove the plastic cover that is behind that and if I'm right, there should be two arms that hold on to the bottom of your window, see if they are bolted on or not. If not the bolt will be laying around somewhere in the door, fish it out and put it back in.

Yeah, I would definetly try to fix it yourself first or at least take the panel off to get a look. Might be something that wont cost you an arm and a leg or $100 cuz if you can do it = FREE!!

is it a power window or a manual?? if its a power window, then its possible that the cables have stretched out, causing the window to go of course. i've worked in a shop for a while, that's a common complaint on GM cars for sure :P

Yes its an automatic window... it still is on track when the window is down at the bottom but after 3 or 4 inches you have to help pull the window up/down while holding the button either way. Everything is bolted in right, somethings must have stretched or moved.

i've never had a mustang door apart, but it can't be THAT bad. I would go ahead and take the inner door panel off and start peeking around. Then, if you can't figure it out, or don't feel up to it, just take it to a shop.
