i was just a little bit curious as to what all parts can be ported and polished on a motor to improve performance. im considering buying a porting and polishing kit to play around with and i was just wondering what all i can port on my car (1990 5.0 lx) to improve performance. i understand the basics (heads (definatley not doing on my own) intake (possibly) throttle body (possibly) and port matching.) but i was wondering what other parts can be ported and polished and also what would be some good parts to practice on. my dad owns a small-engine shop (lawnmower stuff) so i have alot of stuff i could practice on, but i definatley want to mess with some of my own stuff.
