Default Replacing the back glass

I need to replace the back glass in my 94 since it was shattered in a wreck. I have obtained a rear clip with all the parts I need to replace but I'm having a real difficult time in removing the rear glass. I tried one of those braided wire tools that you poke through the seal and work back and forth but that seal is so tough that I broke the tool off trying to get it through. I also bought a heat gun to try and soften it up but it doesn't stay warm long enough to work it through very far. Does anyone have a suggestion besides hiring a glass man to do it?

try small plastic chisels, or something plastic that is sharp and u can jam through the seal, also try a LONG razer knife
