Im getting ready to buy a 1979 mustang pace car, what things should I look for for proof of its legitamacy. Obviously with it being prior to 1981 I cant do a carfax report so i was wondering if there are things on the car i can see that would tell me definately it is a pace car. thanks

 

I had a '79 V8 Hatchback I bought at a dealer auction. There was also a pacecar at the auction,, I'm not sure exactly what differences the pace cars had,,, make sure it's got Recaro seats, and the carb was a "variable venturi"
