Default Autobody guys please enter. Rear quarter welded in or replaceable?

The left rear quarter panel on my 01 Cobra was damaged slightly in my wreck, and the estimate people said to fix it, it's gonna cost like 600-1000 bucks alone or something like that, I'll have to dig the estimate out to be sure.

Can I buy it as a part, and get them to attach it and paint it for cheaper, or is it welded in like the Camaro and has to be fixed as it is?

You will want to fix it. The panel itself is 864.00 and it is a 16.5 hour job and 3.3 paint plus clear coat. So all in all, you would be looking at like $1875 to replace that panel.

Rmodel found me a used one for 300 at mpsautosalvage, but I think it's gonna be better to fix it, it only has 2 small dents in it. Thanks. You live in MD, do you do bodywork? Want a project?
