for 450 rwhp, i wouldn't even bother with forged pistons and rods until/unless something actually goes, Get your KB and a
T-56. Maybe get some FR500 heads/intake/cams. I think the 99 had weaker rear axels than an 01.

 

i got to take bottom end down its smoking ,,mac long tubes had probelms with them making them smoke. .going flat tops with only 6 psi boost ... with no intercooler ..yes axles were smaller too ..but car spins so no breakage....it quit smoking the other day i check oil it was 4 qts low in a month of driving...now it smokes bad...thats my next project ..PROJECTNOS/BOOST

 

got it. Don't overlook the FR500 stuff for the top though. There is alot of power to be had there and you may be able to keep your boost down while pushing similar numbers. I have a few questions. Are you looking to up the compression? Are you looking to move the powerband up into higher RPMs?

 

nay i just want lots of tq. rev limiter kicks in at 7200. thats plenty..i want more power on the down low..

 

I saw some brand new cobra motors on ebay for ten grand with a tranny!That would be cool
