Oil
I've got this old man down the street that sells Conklin Convoy 5w-20 oil. He tells me all these stories of how great it is. It is SAE approved.
I've put some on my finger and it is very hard to wash off, it just stays slick for a long time on your hand.
Have any of you guys had any experiences with this oil, good or bad.

I"m a sucker for the good stuff too. I use Mobil One in our daily beater. A cracked windshield, dented, faded paint 1994 LHS. Only because I've been using it ever since and will continue too, just because.
Moral of the storey is oil is oil. 90%, or probably more of cars will be sent to their grave NOT because of the brand of oil the owners chose. Change it regulary and most every oil would be adequate for normal cars.
My 87 Ram's 5.9L engine has over 500,000 kms. It's super clean inside and still runs like new. It's never seen any brand name of oil but it's serviced regularly.
Don't fall for the hype.

I don't normally fall for gimmicks, but I had to wash my hands four or five times to get the slick off. lol. I guess it's the moly.
You're probably right, though. I need a reason to get a different car occasionally anyways, so I'll probably just keep getting the cheap stuff.
