ive heard that the check engine light hinders ur performance...is this true?..if it is...how bad does it bring down the performance...i just got my extensions and put em on so i wouldnt have a check engine light on and didnt really feel a difference...or maybe cuz i didnt floor it that bad...but can someone answer my question

the light itself does not, but why the light is on might. like if you have a misfire in a cylinder you would run on 5 cyl, not 6 and that would hinder perf.
