Your Opinions....
I just bought a '85 GT with a little over 100k miles on it. I've been considering buying a GT40 crate motor from Jegs. Then I thought to myself... it may be cheaper for me to build it up. Everything is bone stock right now. I want to put heads, cam, and intake on it for some fast HP increases. Would you even put heads and all on a stock motor with 100k miles on it? What are your ideas?
What would you put on it:
Heads:
Cam:
Intake:

well your motor isnt all that great to being with. i would actually ditch it and start with a better one. now if you had a 87 and up block i would do a build up. nothing wrong with modding a 100k 302. our motors are champs. ive seen motors with 170k puttingdown nice times
So can I build a stroker motor from a 302 block? Will you explain what a stroker motor is? And from a 302 block, how would you build it, i.e. what heads, cam, intake would you use. This is what I really want to know, how would you build the motor?
