Question input shaft depth into pilot bearing

I have a 1980 Ford 302 and I am putting a 1988 Tremec T-5#1352 251 09970 just purchased from Jeggs. The bellhousing has the cast # E6ZR-6394-AA. The question is what is the debth the input shaft should sit into the pilot bearing. I have a debth of .415. That is about half of the running surface on the input shaft. The block plate is in place. This is an odd question but with all the new parts I want to make sure before I put it all togther into the car.

Default Wrong part

I think I figured out my pilot bearing problem. Stupid parts store might have gave me the wrong one. Now the big problem is trying to get it out.
