I need help big time. I have a 07 GT with Borla Cat back Exhaust and it rattles real bad at about 20 MPH. i have checked the hangers for the exhaust thinking the bushings had come out but they are still good and all the nuts and bolts are tight too. Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

Something isn't tight. It wouldn't rattle if everything was good to go.

 

ive checked under the car completley and come up empty.

 

Then replace the rubber and/or hangars anyway.

There aren't any places where your exhaust is rubbing? You checked everything from heads to tailpipes? None of the bushings are dry rotted?

 

not that i could see, a friend said it might be rubbing on my transmission but that doesnt sound probable and i think i would notice something like that.

 

i have found that with rattling exhaust there is usualy a heat shield at fault

 

ill have to lift it up again and check it out.
