please help

i have a 87 mustang coupe 5.0 5 sp i have changed the spark plugs plus wires,fuel filter, idel air sensor, throttle body sensor, fuel presure regulator and disconneted the thermatocor hoses and disconneted the egr but it seems like the car gets to much gas and you can smell it also but when you are driving it acks like it is not getting gas it wll spit and sputter and also back fires throught the gears and i have no ideal what it is can someone please help me i want to get my car running right thank you

Have you checked your fuel pressure? Also, it could be a bad O2 sensor or possibly a bad TPS.

What is a throttle body sensor?

TPS- Throttle Position Sensor
Throttle Body Sensor- TPS?

Or am I completely retarded?

i belive that they are the same thing the tbs and the tps and the motor has 35-37 psi and i think i am going to to clean the injectors and if thats not it i am going to replace the fuel pump should i go with a bigger pump like a 255lph b/c i have a twin turbo kit i want to put on i also have 55 lbs injectors do you think that i should just go with the bigger pump
