Default key problem :(

soo im in a real need to make a new key but i was wondering if theres any way to keep the dealers out of this....

i keep reading that you need a special equipment to program a new set of keys soo is there a homemade remeody for this??

Yes, you need the dealership to program the PATS system in your key, otherwise, it won't work.

I dont know what a dealer charges but I asked a local locksmith once and he said he could make one for about 40 bucks.....

i just never liked dealing wit the original dealer bcuz im not fond of the idea of they having the final call, know what i mean?

If you dont like the original dealer go to another ford dealer. you can look up other dealers by using the ford web site.
