Default Need some advice

Alright so let me tell you what I have right now. I just got into mustangs a few months ago, went out and bought a 2008 V6 with only 22k miles on it for $14,500.. What a deal right? Well suddenly I have the urge to make it faster.

Was thinking about getting a Vortech supercharger and a C&L CAI.. But I heard that superchargers decrease the life of your car..?

Its either that, or save up, and eventually get a GT. I've always wanted to drive a stick and I hear so many great things about the GT. Problem is, GT's are around 20-25k where I live so I'd be spending quite a bit more. Where as if I wanted to upgrade my V6, that would only take about $5 grand. Budget wise I'd go with adding some things into my V6. But I'd rather get the GT just because they have much more potential. For the record, I'm the kind of person that always has to have the best, If I get the GT I plan on adding some things in the future. What would you guys do?

What year model GT would you want? If you want a 08 GT, they will be more expensive, but if you have the cash, get the GT. The v8 is sooo much more fun to have. Thats my opinion. If it matters lol!

Yeah the latest model I'd consider is an 06.. I don't like the pre-2005 models, I also want something with less than 20k miles on it too.

superchargers can decrease the life of your engine. Good luck on finding a GT. If I were you I would buy a 03/04 cobra. A few bolt ons and a tune can get you damn near 500 HP.

Im with Mudvayne, I know you said you didnt like the pre-2005 models but you can pick up a great 2003-2004 GT or Cobra for a hell of a deal compared to the price of a newer one. and IMO they look just as good if not better than the new models. I was in the same situation as you, i could have sold my truck and bought a new GT, but i like it too much. I kept my truck and looked around for an older GT. I ended up with a 96, which is my favorite body style GT for $3000 and i dont regret a thing about going with an older stang.

And as for your question about a v8 or v6, go with the V8, you'll love it every time you get behind the wheel and you will be glad you spent the extra cash no matter what you end up getting.
