Question syncro's bad?

I am having problems with my car coming out of first gear. it will stay in there if i hold it but if i dont it pops into neutral with a loud bang. I was wondering if the syncros were going bad or if it could be a clutch adjustment? when i get to high speeds. 80MPH and up the shift lever rattles really bad and it feels like my tranny is gonna fall off. any type of help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a ton
john

Bent shift fork or rail. Do NOT hold it in gear, you'll maintain constant force on the fork pads and burn them up. It could also be worn dog teeth. Time for a trans rebuild.
