Default Really LOUD exhaust

I own a V6 2007 Mustang , I really wanted the GT but with the fast back style it was just to much so instead I went with the 4.0 Anyways yesterday I took off my muffler because I know they just rob power, well I didnt think it was going to be as loud as it is but once it hits about 4000 rpms it gets LOUD and pops like crazy. Anyways i dont want to put another muffler or glass pack on it I just want to get read of the popping noise can some one give me advice please

put the muffler back on, and get a dual exhaust setup with an off road mid pipe... the muffler gives it backpressure and tone, this is something that you want.

I don't think you will be able to rid yourself of the pop with the mufflers off, the more "raw" exhaust sound you have, the more pop. Mine is freaking loud and pops constantly because there is nothing stopping or evening out the pulses. I would start looking at a axleback system for it. Most companies build them to maximize flow and still give it a nice tone, they won't be worse than stock and will sound a lot better than the sans muffler sound you have now.

Ya I understand that they make some great axle back set ups for the single pipe system but wont they still restrict flow just a little bit cause right now with it off I get really smooth acceleration not faster or anything like that it just feels a lot better. would getting a longer exhaust tip possibly tone it down a little. I dont want this to tone down a lot I just want it to be setting off car alarms when I drive home at night

Seriously, you say that now, like i did, and you will get tired of it because mines screams all the time and you can get a lot of negative attention that way. To correct what I am saying, I love the sound, its just I feel sorry for those around me, plus it isn't fun having to pass cops with that loud of an exhaust, I am just waiting for my first ticket.

You own a V6 Mustang. For god's sakes don't put a loud ****ty sounding exhaust on it. It will be a very loud yet very slow car...
