Just got a 98, I'm 5' 5".... when the seats all the way up, i can barley hit the clutch all the way down and the seat is really low for what i'd like.

how would i go about moving the entire seat up more? take it out drill new holes up further and bolt back down? are they just bolted fown with a bolt and a nut? any help here? thanks.

Did you buy from a dealer or individual?

individual.

i can still drive it without a problem, and i may just get used to it just fine with time, but it would just be a lot more comfortable to be up even a couple inches.

thanks for any help =)

Main reason I asked that is because a dealer would have to do that work for free due to safety (I believe this case may count), just like when a 500lb dude buys a car and they have to shim one side so it rides level. Since its an individual though your on your own for the work. Let me get back to you after doing some research, there may be some relocation brackets somewhere out there.

You might want to take your car to a place that adapts vehicles for special needs purposes (like wheelchair conversions, hand controls, etc.) They'd probably be able to fabricate something nice without it looking cobbled together.

I looked for a couple hours last night, found seat extensions but nothing to move it forward. You could always try the dealership and see if they would have something,or you'll have to fab up your own.

Hmm, I wonder if there was a mod done to move the seats back. The reason I say this is that I'm 5ft. 5in as well and can touch the front floorboards with the seat moved back about 1/4 way in my '99

...unless there was a mod done to mine by the previous owner?
