Default check engine light came on need help

The Mach 460 head unit went bad in my 2001 Mustang GT. It wouldn't eject cds or even play them. So I went and bought an aftermarket head unit. Ever since I have replaced the head unit (yesterday), the "service engine soon" light came on. So I brought the car to AutoZone, and had them scan the computer for codes. They came up with code 1633, which is "kam voltage too low". I'm sure this has to have something to do with me replacing the stereo. I'm not able to use the stock amps (the premium sound amp harness isn't hooked up to the new head unit) so would this cause this code to come up? How do I fix the problem? The car only has 39,000 miles on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Go to the search section and into the audio section and there is a alot of info on the Mach 460. From what I can read it looks like the Mach system doesn't take kindly to aftermartket radio's.

you can use the amps with aftermarket head units you just need the proper wiring harness and as far as it affecting the kam voltage,I doubt that very highly it was just coincidence that it happened after the install
