SCT tuner
I recently bought an SCT tuner for my 08 GT. I'm not gonna lie i had no idea what i was doing when i hooked it up. i told it 93 octane took off the speed limiter and told it to go 2.0 richer since i have flomasters. Can some one help me? oh and what is a CMCV and why would i delete it?

Different Axlebacks effect hp very little (primarily just for sound) if at all and AFR as well. The cars are already to rich to begin with. That said I suspect you uploaded one of the "canned" tunes so are only 2% richer than the "canned" tune (which should be much leaner than stock) and not 2% richer than stock. If you really want to see what the cars are capable of order a $50 "Race" tune file from Bamachips or an "Aggressive" Throttle Response Tune from VMP Tuning. The cars drive much better without the "Throttle Rate Limiting" Nanny and the bump up of the factory rpm limiter helps as well. The "canned" tune that comes in the SCT only gives me about half the ET gain I get from a Bama mailorder tune. Of course a true custom tune on the dyno would be better yet but more expensive.
Do some searching and you will find various options many of us you. For instance I favor disabling of traction control (I frequent the track often and its easy to forget if something distracts you or you have to shutoff and recrank during a cleanup) and a very high rpm limiter because I powershift at an unusually high rpm in the lower gears because I find its better to go well past the power peak because it still makes more power at 6500 rpm+ than it does at 4500 rpm or less.

CMCV delete refers to the charge motion control valve plates that come stock on 05-08 engines. Removing them and replacing them with CMCV delete plates is supposed to increases average power and torque. Don't choose that option on the SCT tuner unless you have performed the physical upgrade on the engine.
