help with a straight 6 conversion to a 289 V8
okay i recently started a new project that i hope to get done soon. this is my first car as i am only sixteen. i have a straight six in the car at the moment and have a 289 V8 engine that needs to be rebuilt and refurbished. i was wondering what i would have to change tot he car if i wanted to put the 289 in the car and take out the 6 cyl. any help pleas step by step would be greatly appreciated.

Im not sure if the tranny will bolt up, it probably will. But the swap should be as simple as pulling the motor out and putting the other one in. Alot of it will be self explanatory as you go through, but youll probably need new lines, hoses, etc. Your question is way to broad, but the answer you need is that it will all fit, you just have to get in there and "learn as you go". But as far as the motor rebuild goes, if you dont know how to pull and swap, then you should have a shop rebuild it for you.
