1993 day running lights

Is there any way to disable these or shut them off or something? I really don't like them.

Two cars coming towards you on a overcast type of day. One is easier to see, one blends into the scenery. Which one do you want to be in?

Typical teenager atitude. Looks first, saftey last. Go with the parking brake idea. Might as well cut the cable. It's not that important anyways, and yank the handle up.
