stupid people.. someone is paying $355+ for something you can get for $100 right from ford.. DOH.. DO RESEARCH BEFORE YOU WASTE MONEY !!!

I found the link somewhere on here. the gauge cluster was like $100 or something from a dealer in TX i think. Everything including the buttons to run the trip and color change came to like $250 shipped...

Seriously? FORD sells a complete instrument gauge cluster for $100?? How come I find that hard to believe?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but list price on that part is $332.06 from ford. so yes, he is overpaying, but not by as much as you are stating.

amystery2u had it done for $287 total... so bubble NOT bursted.. LMAO
I ordered my stuff from Ed Olsen (link above) Total cost $587 - $300 refundable core charge so it was $287 for parts and $78 for install.

Yeah, but who knows about that? to the guy on the street it is a fair price. Plus, it wasn't $287 total, he said $287+$78 for install, so that puts the job at $365. Point is, just because somebody has a line on parts that no one else does, doesn't make everyone else stupid, they just don't homework. Plus, it is not uncommon for dealers to mark up past list on parts. For all we know, the guy paying for the ebay cluster was quoted higher than $332. I see this all the time, dealers marking up parts 15-25% past list. Right now, with this economy, most dealerships are making their bank off their parts depts.
