Default NewStang Driver Side WeatherSt

I have a new 04 GT with a problem around the drivers' side window. It came from the factory with crimped interior molding.</P>

</P>

The dealertried removing themolding andreinstalling the samepiece. Needless to say it still looks like crap, just not quite as bad.(The dealer has ordered a new piece of molding to be installed.) I looked at the weather stripping by the back of the door frame and it appears that someonehas pried it loose and reinstalled it as well.</P>

</P>

The service guy claims the weather stripping came that way from the factory. I don't know if he actuallyremoved it or not. The weather stripping on the passengers' side looks good.</P>

</P>

Am I splitting hairs? Is there any advantage to keeping thefactory installed weather stripping? I would like it to lookgood but don't want to run the risk of air leaks caused by theservice department.</P>

Thanks.</P><edited><editID>conehead</editID><editDate>37940.8009722222</editDate></edited>
