Default ford lightening blower

Hey folks,I'm new to this forum. My name is Luke and i have a question I hope someone can answer. I dont have a mustang< but several guys i work with were talking about a blower fro a 2003 lightening. So what would it take to put this blower on a mustang. would it go on a 5.0 or the 4.6. I know this seems off the wall question< but we were just curious about what it would take. Thanks Luke

i know that the lightning is a supercharged 5.4 modular motor, not the pushrod 5.0 not sure what it would really take to put it on a 4.6 though.

Why would you even bother? There are better ( and cheaper) routes to go about this.

It's actually a lot easier to put that particular roots blower on the pushrod 5.0L rather than adapt it to the SOHC 4.6L. It's very similar to how the Cobra blower gets used on the 3.8L/4.2L V6 cars and F150s. In fact, the Cobra blower is shorter, and works a bit better when it comes to all the extra fabbing needed. If you are good with metal work, it's a fun weekend project. And after you do it a few times, you can pull a full blower swap in under an hour.
