Hi Folks,

I'm a newbie and would like to order the 2010 Mustang GT Premium.
I see there's an option for rear view camera. What does it need to show the rear view and where? I don't want to go with the electronics package (navigation, etc.). Is it a requirement to have the camera working? How does it work?

you gotta wait a little time before you get answers around here. not sure about you, but i think alot of people sleep between the hours of 4 & 8 AM. give it a day or so and you should get an answer. also , you might want to try posting this in the 2005+ section as they will have more insight to the options on the s197 cars.

 

Alright, I'm writing currently from abroad and I didn't take it into considerations. Sorry.

Anyway, the official answer from Ford is:

Spoiler is removed when having Track Pack option. -> no rear view camera
If you have spoiler and camera option, you can see the back view in the rear view window.
I still don't know what happens if you have the Electronics package, including the navigation display. Will it show the picture of camera?

Ask the dealer? Doesn't he have cars on the lot he can show U?

 

I think, if you get the epacakge, it shows up on the nav screen. If you don't have the epackage, it shows up in the rear view mirror ... which is why the option is about $50 more if you don't have the epackage.
