Help Please!!!
Hello All,
I am at a bit of a loss here. I have a cold air intake and a 70mm throttle body on the engine. only mods for the engine. However, recently when i start the car it immediately back fires and dies. I took it to ford and they said it was a cam sensor/cam connector issue plus my number 6 spark plug was misfiring. So i had them replace all the spark plugs and the cam sensor cam connector, 1600 dollars later..... That was 2 days ago - today after work the exact same thing happened - what the hell else could it be - it didnt trip the check engine light this time and with the repairs just done im at a complete loss.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Im not an expert in engine work but enough to know what im looking at. Thanks again!

Take it back to Ford and tell them they didn't fix the problem is one. Let them know that first you are pissed that the $1600 didn't fix the problem and tell them you want to know how much it will cost before they fix it and exactly what the problem is. And how the hell did that bill get that much in the first place? That seems real high. The CPS is only like a $45 dollar part and takes no time to install, plugs cost $50 tops and maybe 1.5 hours to do.
Don't know if a bad IAC valve will cause a backfire, but I know it will cause it to cut out.
