seafoam...
ya lol first time i did it in my driveway backed up to a wall so smoke was going all over really high too, the fire dept. showed up soon after lol
same here....i just stumbled across this thread and was heading to the part store anyway so i picked some up and added it. 2/3 gas tank and 1/3 oil. let it sit for about 5-10 min and fired it up. drove it for about 5 minutes let it sit for 5-10 while i got some chinese, then drove it for another 5. drove it hard the last five or so minutes just to get home and not a whiff of smoke. 172,000 miles on it and not a trace. i dont know what that means but w/e. just thought it was interesting.
noob stands corrected. lol how exactly do u do that though? i would definetly eff it up if i tried to figure it out. ima hit the search here and see if i can find something. or google. hah
I have a 1999 GT Convertible with 45,500 original miles that has been sitting for over years that I have brought back to life. After many new parts and countless man hours it runs. It had a rusty gas tank (which was replaced as well as the pump & filter) with old rusty gas in the lines and through injectors so I added a whole can of Seafoam to the fuel tank that had maybe 5 gallons of fresh gas in it not reading the instructions properly. Now it has a rough idle almost like a miss and billowing out smoke. What should I do to help clear this up? Run it out before I fill up the gas tank or should I dilute it and drive it for a while? Also would this do any long term damage? I already cleaned the fouled plugs which stopped it from stalling.
