Default "Engine temperature warning"

Ok, twice now in the last week my car has chugged at a stoplight when I give it a little (not flooring it) gas and I'm not sure why. I have heard that some of the aftermarket hoods help keep the underhood temperature down, but would the temperature under the hood have anything to do with making the engine overheat or cause this problem?

No one's ever had this problem before? Or have any knowledge about what hoods are better for keeping underhood temperatures down?

did you pull a code? start there. what do you mean chugged?

you don't need to worry with such a new car about keeping underhood temperatures down.
