Default day time running lights

I have an 09 rag top with daytime running lights. Trouble is, they're so bright, I forget to turn the real lights on at night. My other wheels (07 Montego) has auto head lights, making it that much more difficult to remember the switch.
Is there anyway to disable the daytime lights? Pull a plug? Cut a wire?? Would this same circuit run halo lights if I installed them. Thanks in advance.

im assuming that you are talking about the fog lights mounted in the grill? unless ford has changed something, then they aren't wired where they are on when the car is on. Im pretty sure the headlight **** either pulls out/pushes in to turn those on/off, or that there is a separate switch for them.

No, it's the actual head lights. It was a California car, and they're wired to have the headlights on at about half power. It's a v6 premium, so it don't have fog lights. Thanks anyway... Terry
