Default '03 GT with front end clunk, STILL!

hey everybody, i have an '03 GT with a bad front end clunk when braking, and when you let off the brake at a stop it clunks again like it's resetting itself.

i have replaced:
Balljoints
control arm bushings
struts
rack and pinion (had a little slack, thought that might fix it)

anybody have a clue what else might be causing this? i'm stumped. i checked all the bolts holding the subframe on and they're tight. any help is appreciated. thanks, Clay.

Have you checked the sway bar bushings and end links?

check your tie rods, and brake calipers too.

well, i haven't checked the sway bar. i did check the tie rod ends and also the calipers bolts and they were fine. nice and tight. whenever i changed the struts out i checked out the insulators and they seemed fine. they looked brand new, without any cracks or anything and it looked like they weren't deformed or anything. i was kinda wondering if maybe the subframe was cracked or something? i can't see any cracks anywhere. my dad was thinking that the inserts or whatever the bolts for the subframe thread into might be cracked loose from the body. the bolts are tight, but the subrame itself could still be shifting i guess. if so i would think there would be some rust powder where it has been shifting but everything looks fine.

this is what it's doing: when braking and almost to a stop it will pop, then when the car sets back after it's stopped it pops again. if you roll up to a curb and lighty bump it it will pop. now it's gotten so bad that sometimes when going from reverse to forward it will pop without touching the brakes. this is driving me nuts and i can't figure it out. firestone was no help when i got it aligned either and i hate to take it to Ford(hate to pay at least). all of your help is appreciated. thanks a lot, Clay.
