Default Transmision ? good or bad?

ok i belive my tranny has been slipping!,,

When im driving and i start to slow down and if i step on the gas to pick up speed, sometimes my car will jerk!....and 2 times i was at stop sign and when steped on gas car didnt go and had to put it in park then drive again,

so i was thinking of getting a transmission flush,,and was woundering how much does it cost?

and how would i know if i would need a new tranny or would the tech people tell me if i get a flush or where should i start with that?

Assuming that it is an automatic, the first thing that I would do is check the transmission fluid level. If it is too low it will slip!

Sounds like the fluid is low to me also. And, transmission flushes are a very bad idea. Espescially if you have 100,000 miles or more. I am replacing two transmissions tomorrow because the owners had flushes done in the last two weeks and now they are toast. One in a Honda and one in a Lincoln Avaitor. Now, a transmission service where the pan is pulled and the filter and fluid replaced is a very good idea. If there is any clutch material or metal in the pan or filter and how much will determine if your transmission is **** up. Also gives the opportunity to find out where your leak is if your fluid is low.

I had a Grand Marquis with the AOD transmission, and it would do the jerking thing, as soon as I flushed the system, it got worse, it probably removed all the junk and stuff holding the thing together. It cost me almost 2200 to replace the thing, somethings are just not worth it.

THIS is exactly what happens and why I said that flushes are a very bad idea.

Most likley ether gears are wore so its slipping, low tranny fluid, or a sensor.
