How to change Ford 351w with Automatic to Manual transmission?

I have a 351W engine that I want to put on a Manual transmission, I was wondering if there is anything I need besides the transmission? or does anyone know any Fords that have the same engines so that I could go to a Pick and Pull and take the whole assembly, that would be better I think.

Not sure what you are asking. Do you already have a manual transmission car or are you wanting to change from an automatic to a manual? What year car is it?

I have a 1968 Cougar with a 1984 351w in it, it has an autmatic transmission, but I want to put a manual transmission in to it, what car can I pull it off of to put it into mine?

You will need the clutch and brake pedal assembly from an early Mustang or Cougar, a flywheel and clutch assembly, a starter for a manual transmission car, the clutch linkage assembly from the pedals to the clutch fork, correct length driveshaft with the correct slip yoke, the correct crossmember, and a shifter. You can use a transmission from any 6bolt bellhousing smallblock. These would include 289, 302, 351W, and 351C as well as the 300 6 cylinder.

Thanks for the info. Another thing I was wondering if the newer transmissions would fit to the car like a T5 transmission for the 1990 5.0 Mustang or so? I have a 351 stroker engine and I want a good transmission that is built for that kind of power.

Yes, they will. I haven't researched it but I know for a fact that there are kits that will include all the components you need to install one.
