i was thinking of changing my radio bezel in my 96 gt to the 99-04 bezel to put in a double din in my car, and as i was searching it crossed my mind to wonder if the armrest/center console piece from the 99-04 mustang will fit in my 96 gt also? i like the look of the 99-04 mustangs cause of how the cup holder isnt hidden in the armrest area and gives me another spot to put my change and other things...so my ? is will the 99-04 center console/armrest/shifter area fit in a 96 mustang gt without/or with minor modifications to it..thanks

 

the console will fit but if your interior is black you'll have to paint it to match. the radio bezel however will not work for ya without some modification to the dash. I wanted to do the whole double din thing but it ends up turning into a hack job with mounting and everything; that is unless you're good at that sort of customization.
