I have a 2005 mustang gt, With a 4.6L 3V. And a CDC mach 1 shaker hood upgrade. What type of power can the 4.6L can take, I was wanting to see if i could get around 900HP. And what type of combo's do i need to get it there?

Any help would be help full. Also what would be the MPH for 900HP? Thank you.

 

i hope you have some VERYYYYYYYYYYYYYY deep pockets if you want 900hp. going to cost you WELL over 10 grand, probably 20. your motor is going to have to be completely forged and rebuilt, you'll need some aggressive blower cams, ported heads, a blower or turbo, a new tranny, forged rear end, new driveshaft, some suspension mods or you'll never hook up, plenty of air and fuel mods, etc...

 

Your a long ways away...building that engine to handle 900 hp is...well honestly kind of a waste of money. On your stock internals you might be able to hold 450-500 horse, im not 100% on that but I doubt anything higher than that. what are you trying to hit 900hp for

I already have upgraded suspension mods. forged rear end, 70mm throttle body, Axle back cat with x pipes.

 

So the 4.6L can take 900HP then?

 

I was thinking of pulling it out, And putting the 460 Big block in.

 

But if i can keep the 4.6L v8 in it, And upgraded that would be nice. Can anyone give me a list of what type of parts? It would help me out on my quest.

 

I was looking at a kenne bell supercharger 2.8H, Also some stage 3 ported three-valve cylinder heads. And maybe kellogg crankshaft? Some BBK Long tube headers.

 

Also a stroker kit that turns it into a 302.
