Do you know anybody who has a Ford keyless entry fob? Borrow it & try programming it for your car

My 2000 has it from factory, and it isn't a premium package either. I don't know if there is a difference between a GT and a v6, but for my GT it was there. And like you, I had to go and buy two fobs (from ebay), programmed them, and it works great.

Easiest way is to cycle the ign key on and off, on the last time, 6 or 8 times within about 20 seconds. If it has remote entry, the door locks will cycle. If they cycle, then get you a couple of remote fobs (4 button) then do the same thing, but when locks cycle, push a single button on each remote.

I had the same problem when I bought my car. I went directly to the dealer and they sold me the keyless entry remote for 45 bucks. They also reset it for me. I am sure if you call a dealer they can order it for you. Hope this helps.

I found some on ebay that were used for around $15. Thanks everyone.
