Default Mach 460 CD player help

I just bought an 01 Mustang today and it has the Mach 460 System in it which is nice as hell, but I just realized I cant use the CD player? Apparently it has a 6 Disc CD Changer but the slot just wont take a CD. Am I just stupid or something or what? Ill be tossing in my Pioneer DEH-5900 later this week so its not that big of a deal but I kinda wanna listen to a CD since the stock radio doesnt have an AUX unit :-p

Default Mach 460 trouble!

Just replaced a Mach 460 Thursday. A pain.
My CD did the same thing, "error".
What i learned: 1. that is a common problem.
2. Head units don't always match up with the Mach speakers.
The way the amps power the speakers.
I had one of the amps missing(stolen).
I installed a Pioneer 3200. Had to pull new wire and replace all 4 speakers.
Also added a amp and subs for fun!!

as he said the indash changer has always been the weak link in the system. You can try disconnecting power to it to see if it fixes it but I would not put any disk in it that I would not mind loosing. I have been fairly sure for some time that the recording industry has had an under the table agreement with ford to program these changers to lock up when it knows it has 6 disks that you will have to replace.

its usually $75.00 for most 97% of the problems can be fixed for that amount.
