Default Question on ratio for my differential........

Hello Everybody,

My name is Dave, To make a long story short, I recently came into the posession of a '69' Mustang rearend, and was wondering if anyone could give me information on what ratio it is. the numbers I could find are: C60W 4210 S 2-535. Any information would be greatly appreciated, or maybe a website that has that sort of thing.

Thanks, Dave

Spin an axle 1 full turn, and count the # of times the driveshaft turns. There, you just figured out your axle ratio.

For example if the driveshaft spins just over 4 times for 1 turn of the axle, you probably have a 4.10 gear ratio in there

With Greystangs suggestion, that's assuming it's a TrakLok rear differential.

Yeah I should have mentioned that BOTH rear tires need to make one full revolution & you count the number of times the drive shaft rotates. Even with an open diff this test will be accurate.
