Default window motor help please

I have a 2000 V6 mustang.
The other day the driver side window would not close.
When hitting the window open button I could here a relay sound Click.
When toggling the switch to close position I thought I could also hear the
click but very faint.
The Window would not react and close. Note window was in the full down position..
Note the passanger window works OK and mirrors are OK also door locks work OK.

The Next Morning Get Ready to remove door panel and I Tried the Window switch
again to see if it would close.. And It did close and has been working OK for another
Day and many operations up and down.. Also the auto down feature does work as always...

Is there some sort of Circuit Breaker in the wiring system for the window that would
Reset itself after setting overnight????????????

Any of you Tech.'s that can give some information of what might cause this
would be appreciated.
Or anyone who has gone through the same trouble and found a solution to the problem...

Thanks for any help you can give...

Like owned said, probably your switch. When it came up, was it normal speed or slower than normal?

Then I would start with replacing the switch first.

Is it possible to take these switchs apart and look at the contacts?
Over the years I have done things like take stuff apart just to see how it
held up from years of use...
I didn't look the switch over very closely at the time I had the panel
loose and wiggleing the wires on the back.

If it can be disasembled and put back together I might do that and burnish the
contacts while in there..
If takeing it apart would destroy the switch I will wait till I get a solid failure so
I can use my volt meter to track down the problem

Thanks for the replies..

If I can get time this evening I will take a look at the switch and taking it apart.
If not it might be a few days because I have another project to get finished that has
me up against a time line...

Next time it stops working tap the motor with a hammer and see if it works. Its like a starter and sits on a deaad spot somtimes and doesnt work.Atleast if you try that you wont buy a switch for nothing. My superduty does the same thing, when its cold it wont work almost like its frozen but then it will work when it warms up
