Has anyone been pulled over for
HIDs. I wana get them but still on the fence. I see them everywhere from TX to NH, though I've never seen or heard of anyone being stopped for it. is it even really enforced? I could really use the increase of light output for some of those dark curvy roads. Has anyone ever been pulled over specifically for using HIDs? if so what happened and what ya do about it? I was planning on using projectors and only 4300k. Do you think that just using projectors with 4300k hids and properly aiming them I would be fine?
any comments/suggestions would be appreciated

it all really depends on where you live man. I've personally have never heard of their being a problem with them. However not every state has the same laws. If you live in Cali, that's a pretty strict state, while places like Nevada doesn't care.

^^ i agree, Im n MA 20 min outside of Boston and I have yet to get so much as a second look for HID's. plenty of people do it. even the guys in the chevy/ford truck with HID's in headlights and foglights on a lifted truck....THOSE suck and are blinding.
dont get 4300....waste of HID's i suggest no lower than 5000 and no higher than 8000 while still maintaining function. i had 5000 in my 95 lincoln mark 8 and now 6000 in my 04 GT. 6000 have a hint of blue but dont take away from visible light. 5000 will be the most useable light output and whitest.
TECHNICALLY in some states, any HID bulb in a factory halogen housing is illegal. i have also never been flashed in my GT with people thinking they were my brights.

never had a problem. usually your fine as long as you stick with a normal color (anywhere from 4k-8k). its the people with DEEP blue, purple, or yellow headlights that catch the crap. HID's come stock on so many cars now that i don't think cops are even looking for them (except **** fornia, HID's cause cancer in california).
that bieng said, every state is different and more so, every cop is different. some cops will write you tickets for very minor and insignificant things, other cops will damn near let you get away with murder if they are in a good enough mood. all depends.

i dont know about you guys...but alone on a curvy road, id rather see the damn road and worry about possible tickets later lol
if aimed right, they wont blind anyone, mine are aimed a little higher than should be to get the light to project farther (works and i still dont get flashed, but again diff state)

You should be fine, unless they are really really blue, then that will get you a ticket, but as a previous poster said, if you do 5000-6000 you should be fine. Most cops don't mess with that crap because most don't know if it is stock or not, so they won't stop you to find out. They may nail you on it, if they pull you over for doing 75 in a 30 or something stupid like that, but I doubt they will stop you just because of the lights.
