I walked out to my car today to find my Black plastic piece where the hood meets the windshield broken. I don't know what it would be called or even if I can find another one unless I got it from a wrecking yard or something. Any ideas would help. It's for a New edge.

Sweet Jesus, $200 dollars? Is it carved out of the highest quality plastic that has ever existed? Ugh!

I think its cauld the windshield cowl. $200 is a bit steap. You might be able to find one at a local junk yard or pick-n-pull. Or get a good plastic repair kit. Or super-glue the crack back together. Or learn to live with it... Good luck...

 

That's what I was thinking. Possibly just gluing it and seeing how bad it looks.

 

Hope you can take it off ok, when that thing gets old it get really brittle.

 

That's what I've been reading... Ugh. This is going to be a pain in the butt I can tell already.

 

mine has a crack in it also...ive been thinking about trying to melt the plastic back together with a soldering iron(plastic welding). if that works, id try to fill in any voids with other random plastic and sand smooth. just havent gotten around to it yet b/c the car needs more important things...
