Default Side Window Panel

Hello All,
The driver side window was having slight trouble when rolling the window down. So I took apart the side door panel and found out the glass had slipped away from its railing and looked like it was glued with the metal railing before. So I got some industrial strength adhesive and glued it back on. Now the window has completely stopped functioning. Any idea how to fix this? Has anybody done this before? I'm also looking for some kinda adhesive solvent. Will Acetone work on the adhesive (to dissolve it)?? HELP PLEASE!! Thanks.

Acetone will disolve it...And I thought the window is just wedged in the track with a piece of rubber and then had a couple of rivets that held it in place,You didnt see any rivet holes??

Thanks for replying back. No I didn't see any rivets or rivet holes. All I saw was remanants of previously used adhesive, I had to scrape it off before applying my new adhesive. Anyway, I think I kinda screwed it up now trying to fix it. I will use acetone to dissolve it now bring it back to its old form. So where can I get Acetone now? Thanks.
