Default Newbie here!!

Hi I'm not officially a Pony owner yet, but I've decided my Sunday driver is going to be a V8 Mustang. I am interested in 89 foxbody's to around 2000ish 4th Gens.

I have a few questions regarding my future purchase.. The last of the 4th gen. 5.0's.. I haven't been able to find many aftermarket parts for. Are the 3rd gen 5.0 parts interchangeable? Or should I just stick with the foxbody if I want a 5.0? Is there a big difference between the 4.6 and 5.0 performance wise? Is there anything in particular I should be looking for that is a common problem with any of these cars when I go to buy one (I'll probably make a craigslist purchase)?

Thanks in advance for any information

If you are buying a stocker and plan on keeping it that way. I'd personally avoid a 94 or 95 5L. They are the slowest Mustang ever made. Ok maybe I"m exaggerating but keep that in mind.

For the 94 and up style. The 4.6 is an excellent engine.

As for the 89 foxbody. It's 87 to 93. The aftermarket is flooded with parts you can get for these cars and they rank high in cool factor.
