84 hatchback 5.0 sound system help
Im looking for ideas/info on building a new sound system for my 84 hatchback.
first off let me say im a complete sound system noob...i have tried reading up on things but im a on hands learner so untill i get my hands dirty messing with sound systems im not going to learn much by reading.
currently i have the stock system which is pretty bad especially since most of the speakers are either blown or just are not working anymore. i can't take it much longer not to mention i still have the stock radio in it also which may have been decent in 84...but not anymore.
i would like to buy things in stages as i don't have a lot of money saved up for this. but eventually i would like a decent sound system. it doesn't have to be the loudest thing around but just something that has nice bass and clean sounds.
is buying things in stages possible? or would it be better to just save up and buy everything at once? and an ideas on what i should buy? im pretty crafty so if possible i can make my own enclosures and such.
Thanks for the help,
Micah
P.S. this is my first post
