Post Need Your Advice!!!

Hi everyone I'm kinda new on here. My names Tory and I'm 20 years old and I currently have a 1998 v6. Here is where I need your help. I just won four of my bids on coparts.com and now I've got a 91 fox body mustang, a 94 boss mustang, a 95 5.0, and a 2002 4.6. Everyone of them were in a flood except the 2002. What do I need to fix if a cars been in a flood?

Thanks Mustang Forums!!

Strip 'em down. Water could be anywhere. I'd pull the motors, tear down to bare block and start over. I'd re-run all the wiring. You'll also need new interiors (most likely).

I'd personally never buy a flood car.

Yeah I didn't think about it I been looking for about a three months now and I found them at a amazing price. So I had to jump on it. I figured water wouldn't really do anything to the exterior but I knew I was going to have to maybe flush out the motor and run new wires.

i wouldnt have even taken them unless they were free and i wanted a cheap car for a track only car not caring about anything but the drivetrain and a seat.

be careful with how much money you spend on these cars. flood cars will never be worth much, nomatter how much money you dump in em.

Yep^^. As soon as anyone sees flood on the carfax it doesn't matter what you've fixed, modded, added, it will always be looked at as garbage as far as any resale is concerned.
