Hi, i just bought my 96 gt from FL and when i got it everything was fine, a couple weeks ago i went to the gas station, and pressed the reset button so i would know how many miles i went, and now it wont work. Not only does the little calculator thing for individual trips not work, but the odometer it self stopped working, so for the past couple days my mileage has not changed at all, has anyone ever experienced this, if so how can it be fixed or what should i do? I called ford, but they want 78$/hr to diagnose whats wrong with it. my email is merryshari02@aol.com

 

You just need a new speedo cable, or check the speedo gear in the tranny and make sure the teeth are still on it first.

 

you should leave it and fix it if you ever want to sell it lol
