Default Electric Flex-a-lite fan conked out

Came back from a car meet which was thankfully only a mile from the house, water temp ran up to 205, usually always at 180. Noticed the fan wasn't running coming into the garage when I got home. Fuse is still good, everything still "looks" good with out probing the wires too extensively. All connections look tight and strong. Not sure if it's inside the thermostat box that kicks the fan on but before I have my buddy come over who is good with electronics, anyone have something similar happen to them? It's a '65 Fastback, everything is pretty clear cut that why all this has got me stumped. Damn thing only only seen about 400 miles.

Did this previously work correctly?

205 is above thermostat temperature but it's not dangerously hot.
