Default Upgrading Gears

After reading around I think my next mod will be switching to 4.10s. What all do I need to buy when upgrading the gears? Or is it just the gears and thats it?

Thank you. And I appreciate you all. I have never been in a forum and I appreciate everyone advice and opinions. I'll learn a lot from you and hopefully be here for a long time.

It sounds like you're asking what you need so that YOU can swap in the gears? If you've never done that before (or know a friend who has & can help) then DON'T install them yourself. There is a lot of precision setup involved & you can destroy new gears quickly if they're not set up correctly.

Just take it to a garage & have them do it

Oh no, not do them myself. I'm just getting an idea of how much the parts cost. I would probably buy what I need and take it to a garage.

4.10s at least. If I wasnt so lazy I would slap in 4.30s in my car.

That says it's for an 8.8 rear. It says he has an '07 v6 = 7.5 rear.

If you're doing gears, you might as well install a traction lok while you're at it or look for an 8.8 with gears and t-lok already installed. Would cost in the same ballpark as having them installed in the 7.5 and you have the added strength of an 8.8 if you ever plan on super/turbocharging or tracking the car.

8.8 Upgrade, FTW!

If not, we should have some gears available for you on the website!
