Default traction control.

Ok so i have an 03 gt and it has a traction control feature, and with it i cant screw around in the snow! If i turn it off then its limited slip and only one tire spins. Is there anyway to disable traction control and make so it stays a posi rear? thank you

If you push the TC disable button on the dash then TC is fully disabled.. & that has nothing to do with your limited slip diff problem, which sounds like your diff clutch packs are fried

well the problem is if traction control is off. Only one rear tire spins.... no fun in the snow or rain how do i fix this? With traction control on both tires spin but once the break free, traction control kicks on.

TCS doesn't give you posi. TCS cuts power to your engine and applies the brakes when it detects slippage, which is why you think it gives you posi. I find my one wheel in the snow/rain is enough to totally break loose.

If you try a burnout on dry pavement do you get 1 patch or 2?
Like I said, your differential clutch packs are probably worn out.. you can have them refreshed but it's gonna cost you a few $$'s.

I read in one of these forums, this one I think that if you pull the traction control button you have 2 wires. Build a bridge by exposing some copper on both wires and tie them together. When you push the buttonbit engages trac control so if you wire them together it is always off. And completely reversible but not recommended. Just push the button if you want it off of buy a tuner and turn it off

someone has told you 3 times now. go to a patch of concrete and do a quick brakestand. do you get one tire spinning or both? if you only get one tire spinning, your differential needs a rebuild. the clutch packs in your posi are toast. has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with traction control, so stop asking about traction control.

and whoever said to tie the two wires together, i doubt thats a good solution. this is one of the stickies though...
